Where Bad Thanksgiving Poems Go For Posting
Though bashed by the recession
And pulled down into depression
There's a day meant to remind us
That we should be thankful for
Too much food and
Crazy families
Cars that work and
Ripe cranberries
Sweet tater pie for Southerners
Pumpkin pie if from the North.
Wishing you a thankful day
For kith and kin
Drinkers of gin
For those who make your life pure hell
For those in life who wish you well.
Pour them whole into life's pie
Kiss them quick
Embrace the sky
And know that they're giving
The story you are living
Its richness
Its flavor
The wonder that you savor
Providing all you do and say
Perspective that will always stay
And that you'll celebrate
In faith
On this
Thanksgiving Day.
